The long awaited containers have all finally arrived at last. The patiently waiting sailors finally got their hands on their boats on Sunday afternoon at the Houston Yacht Club at La Porte Tx. The boat park also started to fill up as sailors from around North America had arrived, some after epic 18+ hours drive times from their home clubs. All set about rigging and then checking, altering, and replacing worn control lines just in case.
The wind so far has not been kind the the fleet, as a constant 20kt+ breeze from the South kept them all ashore. However today (Monday) should see the first chance for them to get afloat, albeit in somewhat less windier conditions after a front has passed through. Might rain as well....
